02/03 - 3:45 pm ESTvpn1 is currently down. We are looking into it and hope to have it resolved asap. In the meantime, please switch to one of the other vpn servers.
01/17 - We are pleased to introduce our latest release of
our email code, with new features including:
- Enhanced spam filtering options
- Parental control features for moderating children's email
- Email Commands/Server Directives to control your filter
settings without having to log into your webmail account. (See
Email Commands/Server Directives)
- A new way of triggering an automatic password reset (this is an
opt-in feature - you must configure it in order to be able to
use it. (see
https://www.cotse.net/20questions.cgi)
- The ability to compose messages in HTML format - optional or can be set as standard under Options - Display Preferences - Default Email Composition Format
Please see the Options page for additional features and new settings. While we don't expect issues, if you run into a glitch please let us know at helpdesk.
Note: One of the bugs fixed involves notices of messages caught by a filter. If you are suddenly receiving these it is because they were enabled before, but not properly working in all instances. The notices explain how to shut them off if you do not want to receive them.
If a filter is notifying you that you don't believe you had set, go to Options and resubmit your settings for that filter.

Reminder: Because we are a privacy service, we do not back up your personal e-mail. This means that when you delete it, it is gone for good and not floating around in some backup that can be retrieved from us against your will. However, it also means you must download and save your important mail, because if you accidently delete it, it's as gone as the mail you wanted deleted.
Custom domain - You can also use your own registered domain with us. Your own domain will work with our
service just like all the domains we already offer. If you wish to do this please contact helpdesk with your account
name and the registered domain name so we can set it up. We can host both web and e-mail for your domain or just
the e-mail, your choice.
All of our e-mail features will work with both our domains and your own domain after doing so (in other words,
you don't lose any of your cotse domains and addresses, you just gain new ones with your own domain), including
unlimited aliases in the form of anything@yourdomain.com.
Unlike our domains, your account name will not appear in the e-mail address for your own domain. We can also point
specific aliases at other cotse accounts if you and your family, friends, or business users also have accounts
with us. This service is free with your paid account.
